- THE 700 CLUB - Every 1st Thursday, the
"Rat Pack" DJ's play the best of Sinatra, Martin, etc.
from the 40's, 50's, 60's 10 -2 am. Call to check on frequency,

- TOKIO BALLROOM - "Philadelphia Lindy
Project" DJ music, 7-10pm, $5, (sporadic in the summer).

SATURDAY
- THE PHILADELPHIA
SWING DANCE SOCIETY
- Generally 2nd and 4th Saturdays at Commodore Barry Club. For
these and all other details (see my "Track 8" PSDS
or visit their website at www. swingdance.org !! Friendly social dance,
mostly singles among the 200 to 300 dancers. Largest wood dance
floor in area used for swing dancing, about 40' x 90'. "Refresher"
lessons in Jitterbug at 7pm and Lindy at 7:45pm plus non-alcoholic
punch and munchies included with $10 (generally) admission. Non-smoking
and non-alcoholic environment is suitable for dancers of
ALL AGES (10yrs. on up, i.e. ok for families) and ALL SKILL LEVELS.
No "dress code".
- EGYPT - Hustle dancing room. Need
reports.
SUNDAY
- THE EIGHTH FLOOR - This is Q102 and Hustle
dancing night with close to 1000 attendees (I'm told). Cover
charge. Large (about 750 sq.ft.) dance floor. Great views. The
greatest club tunes by DJ Perry A. makes this the biggest location
and day of the week for Hustle !
- THE FIVE SPOT - Swing dance lesson followed
by live band (music type varies with the band). $5 Cover. Smallish
dance floor gets packed with dancers dressed up in costumes of
the 1940's. Tendency to get bumped or more as energetic dancers
do kicks and aerials. Watch out.
- TOKIO BALLROOM - West Coast Swing &
Carolina Shag with DJ music plus hot buffet for $10. Lesson 6:30-7:30pm,
Dancing to 11pm.
